Aldi announced the launch of the “Grow With Aldi” program, that will see UK based suppliers and growers compete for space on supermarket’s shelves.
The campaign has the aim to uncover, and then ultimately stock, new and exciting products from food and drink businesses, allowing Aldi to keep on top of the latest trends.
Entered products will be judged by an expert panel, with the winning products launched as Specialbuys in Aldi’s 950 stores.
The scheme aligns to Aldi’s ongoing commitment to locally sourced products, having invested an extra £1.6 billion with British suppliers since the start of the pandemic. The food and drink launch follows the success of last year’s Spirits competition, which saw Penrhos Gin, a Herefordshire-based fruit farmer turned craft gin distillery, have its product stocked in Aldi stores.
