- Health & Beauty retailer Boots has become the first retailer in Britain to provide an inclusive online shopping experience by adding a new accessibility toolbar within its website.
- The toolbar is located in the header of the site and allows the website’s 37 million monthly visitors to adapt the site to suit their individual needs, with options including screen reading, multiple reading aids, customization options, text-to-speech and on-demand live translation into over 100 languages.
- The development comes at a time when more than 13 million people in the UK currently experience barriers that make online shopping harder for them.
