Iceland has this week announced it is reducing the thresholds for its free delivery services in stores and online and is set to continue being the only retailer to offer free next-day delivery every day of the week.
The reason for the reduction is due to the current climate of rising costs experienced by its customers, helping those with lower weekly shopping budgets to access free delivery as well as removing the need for driving as fuel bills continue to increase.
The frozen food retailer will lower the minimum order value for its online free next day delivery service from £40 to £35 and its in-store home delivery service from £25 to £20, with the decreases trialed nationwide for a month.
The move follows Iceland’s commitment to freezing the price of hundreds of products in its £1 range, offering reassurance to families who rely on everyday low prices.
