The Chinese retailing giant JD.com has opened an omnichannel interactive mall in Xi’an to showcase its services and technologies, covering 42,000 sq. meters over 5 floors, containing over 150,000 items from 150 brands.
Consumers place all orders through WeChat by scanning QR codes on each of the items and JD will handle the last-mile delivery to their doorstep within as little as 2 hours.
The mall also offers one-stop home design services allowing customers to enjoy a seamless shopping experience from designing their own home, selecting a range of products and offering a 24 hour installation service.
The JD mall combines fashion and technology elements from design to experience. Customers can enjoy tech devices and experiences including holographic projection, VR equipment, intelligent robots, a virtual live stream room and a transparent computer room.
