To capture a millennial home improvers audience, Lowe’s has this week unveiled the DIY-U program, a DIY ecosystem that brings live, on-demand and home improvement skill-building into the modern era.
DIY-U by Lowe’s has the aim of being a one stop shop for home projects, with DIYers of all skill levels able to register for monthly livestreams and relaunched in-store Lowe’s kids and adult workshops through the website.
Each workshop will be hosted by Lowe’s associates, with the virtual workshop experiences also being shoppable.
Planned future developments include the ability to earn badges for project completion and the gamification of DIY.
